QCNV Q5 IIT

GEN3 IMAGE INTENSIFIER TUBE

The QCNV Q5 series of Gen3 image intensifier tubes amplifies available light to provide visible images in low-light environments. With green and white phosphor options, the series offers configuration choices for night vision device manufacturers and system integrators. Explore the specifications below to select a tube for your optical system and application requirements.

QCNV Q5 IIT

Key Features

Two Performance Grades

Choose Q5-B or Q5-A, with FOM ranges of 2,000–2,200 and 2,200–2,400, respectively. Resolution is specified at ≥64 lp/mm for Q5-B and ≥64/68 lp/mm for Q5-A.

Four Configuration Options

Available in 2-contact, 3-contact, pigtail cable and integrated-type configurations. Select the appropriate format to match your device’s mechanical and electrical requirements.

Green & White Phosphor

Choose P43 green phosphor or P45 white phosphor to suit your preferred image appearance and night vision system configuration.

Power Supply & Gain Options

Power supply options include auto-gating, with external gain or brightness adjustment options depending on the selected configuration.

Grade-Based Signal-to-Noise Ratio

Minimum SNR is ≥32 for Q5-B and ≥35 for Q5-A, providing defined performance levels for your low-light imaging requirements. Both grades use a Gen3 GaAs photocathode.

Wide Operating Temperature Range

Specified for operation from −45°C to +55°C and storage from −45°C to +70°C, with a tube weight of ≤75 g.
